The mission of the Savannah Young Architects Forum is to unite young and future professionals of the building arts community for educational, professional, and social events.
The vision
The Savannah Young Architects Forum is a community for emerging architects, interns, students, and building professionals that fosters professional growth. The SYAF will provide an arena for members to share common goals, problems, and experiences confronted in architectural professions, and will offer opportunities for community involvement and educational programming. The SYAF strives to address the issues faced by young professionals in architecture while encouraging its members to use their skills to the benefit of Savannah and the larger architectural community as a whole.

Thatcher Young, Sustainability Advisor with Georgia 's Pollution Prevention Assistance Division, will speak to the Savannah chapter of the USGBC June 24 on the topic “ Want to Find Out How to Make Green by Going Green?”
Young will discuss FREE assistance to Georgia organizations for designing and implementing a sustainability strategy.
The meeting starts at 5:45 and is held on the second floor of Wild Wings Cafe in City Market
SYAF will not have a float in this year’s Tybee Beach Bum Parade do to scheduling conflicts with the Beaux Arts Ball last Saturday which was a success!!!! Those of you who would like to attend the Beach Bum Parade are invited to join SYAF as we are going to fill up the pick up truck with water once again this year and park along the east side of Butler Ave. between 11th and 12th streets. Bring your water gun, beach chairs and bathing suits and join us for a Great Time!!!!
